Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal career is centered around family law. She has a passion for it. She focuses a majority of her practice on divorce cases, alimony disputes, divorce property distribution and child custody battles. child support arrangements, postnuptial and prenuptial agreements, post-divorce enforcement and issues such as step-parent or private party adoptions as well as issues involving children's welfare. Ashley has been a court-appointed mediator since 2019. She assists parties to resolve their disputes without the need for court or litigation involvement. In addition to mediation mandated by the court, Ashley also mediates in private cases for individuals who want to stay clear of the litigation and court process.

After having completed her undergraduate studies at Loyola University of Maryland, where she received two Bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science, Ashley pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. After graduating in 2013, she excelled academically, placing among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was an editor at the Western New England Law Review during her time in law school. This proved her dedication to scholarship and legal research.

After completing her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship experience, working for distinguished jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She had the honor of being a law assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. Then, in 2014 she returned to her home town of Hagerstown to clerk for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long at the Washington County Circuit Court, deepening her understanding of the local legal landscape. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. As an associate attorney. Her main focus within the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services on cases dealing with child welfare. Through her tireless efforts, Ashley played a vital role in assisting children who had suffered neglect or abuse at the from their parents or caregivers. Her commitment to social justice went beyond her legal practice since she was actively a board member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force and worked tirelessly to increase awareness of human trafficking in the tristate area.

In 2017, she became a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the fields of family law including divorce, child support, custody and guardianships - aswell as estate planning - wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directive/healthcare proxies - and mediation.
